HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR INVESTMENT

STAY SAFE

Examinations have shown that contamination of the clothing can have a negative effect on the functionality of the cut-protection. In order to ensure the best possible protection, please observe the following rules for cleaning and care of the cut-protection.

Clean Regularly

Cut-protective clothing requires special care and should be cleaned regularly. If worn daily with average soiling, it should be cleaned every week. If severely soiled, wash immediately.

Sizing

Pfanner products are offered in a wide array of size options to accommodate a wide range of body types. As a general rule, garments should be selected so that they do not restrict movement in any way. At the same time, they should not be loose as to avoid the risk of catching on branches or other hazards. Check out our Sizing Chart to find the best fit.

Pfanner Canada has a very lenient return policy. If you do not feel like the size you ordered is correct for you, please get in touch ASAP. We would be happy to accommodate a return or exchange on any new and unworn products.

MAKE IT LAST

Cleanliness

Following the instructions below also ensures a maximum lifespan for your clothing. Dirt and grime make the garments more prone to general wear and tear. Lack of proper cleaning and care can be especially damaging to zippers.
The most effective thing users can do to make their clothing last is clean regularly and adequately. Please follow the cleaning instructions provided below with care.

Sizing

Choosing the right size is not only important to ensure safety, but it also helps optimize the lifespan of the clothing. If the clothing is too tight, it may add extra stress on the seams and zippers of the garment and negatively affect the longevity. Contrarily, garments that are too loose can incur damage from catching on surrounding hazards, such as branches.

Repair

On cut-protective clothing, only the outer layer may be repaired. Do not attempt to patch, modify, shorten, or sew through the cut protection lining.

If the outer material is in need of repair, please repair immediately to avoid further damage. Thermo-adhesive patches can be purchased from your local dealer or at PfannerCanada.com.

We also recommend seeking out a local Tailor or Alterations Provider to fix minor wear-and-tear. We have found that it is a very cost-effective option in most situations.

NOTE

No cut-protection clothing can provide absolute protection against injuries by chainsaws. The degree of protection depends on numerous factors (ex. Chain-speed, engine torque, angle at which the bar contacts the fabric, working position, etc.). Cut-protection is not a replacement for safe working practices. Please read the Chainsaw Protection Manual located in the bag with your purchase for all safety details and warnings.
