Description

Protos Arborist Helmet: Safety & Comfort

The extreme demands of Forestry and Arborist work were what inspired the development of the Protos® Integral: Made for maxium safety and comfort. Therefore, all parts of the Protos® – from visor to hearing protection – are integrated within the shell of the helmet to prevent catching on obstacles, such as branches. Furthermore, The innovative inner shell offers superior comfort and additional safety around the neck area.

It’s the perfect choice for the toughest applications and extreme weather conditions. Especially because all modular components can be moved from active to passive positions using only two fingers, which helps the user stay focused on their work.

Lastly, the modular design means that most parts are readily available and easy to replace. The ease of maintenance reduces waste and adds to the longevity of your investment.

Certainly, you can enjoy maximum Safety & Comfort with the Protos Arborist Helmet.

Best chainsaw hard hat on the market! Very comfortable and lightweight, yet tough enough to stand up to the daily tasks of the job. The optional safety glasses are also a great accessory. Once you get one of these helmets, you will never go back to a traditional style chainsaw hard hat again!

  2. yelltimber907 (verified owner)

Absolutely a must for anyone doing tree work, very light, comfortable and all the PPE for your head, eyes, and ears in one place!

  3. jerritd Anderson

My crew has been using the protos helmet for 3 years and myself for 6. We couldn’t be happier with the product and quality. Upmost protection for arborist in all conditions.

  4. Charles MacGregor

What a helmet. Great fit and protection

  5. Tim Chapman

Have been using mine for a year now, will never go back to a “regular” helmet again! Fit is such that you hardy know you’re wearing it. Being able to stow the hearing protection while still having the helmet firmly on your head is the biggest bonus for me. Still have full head and eye protection while gathering cut wood, but able to hear what’s going on around you. Love…love…love this helmet!

Discovers this helmet through the Pennsylvania Soren Erickson Game of Logging instructors as well as an adamant plug by a speaker at the Kane Area Logger Safety Meeting. As one of the instructors noted, it is only $5/month over the 5 years lifespan of the helmet to have the best safety helmet in the industry. Even so, his kids buy him a new one each Fathers Day.
Comfortable, stays on while bending over, hearing protection folds inside easily and is out of the way when not needed. Set up was a bit complicated as you end up with it set to fit you, and nobody else. You won’t be handing this off for someone else to use unless they spend the time setting it up for themselves. Following the directions carefully, I now have a great fit and cannot imagine going back to a “regular” helmet. Having always worn a helmet and feeling pretty protected, I now would feel like I was wearing a cheap plastic shell using my old helmets. No going back once you get this helmet and you will not regret it.
