  1. Tomas

I purchased these boots for 3 season use in Arboriculture (fall through spring) and while I really like them there could be some minor adjustments. I really like the klima-air lining and insole. They wick moisture very effectively. The leather is unbelievably durable and the minimal stitching means there are few failure points.

They are definitely a little bulky, but surprisingly not much heavier than a pair of stitchdown loggers from the PNW brands. The sole is extremely well built and is very comfortable under foot. The use of a leather midsole makes them conform to your foot nicely.

On the other hand they’re pretty warm, so they are not comfortable above about 55f (12c). Unfortunately since they use a metallic safety toe, that area of the boot insulates poorly. If they were to switch to a composite toe I would have given 5 stars.

  2. Tom

I really like these boots. The traditional construction makes them simple to maintain. The lining makes them very well ventilated. I also really enjoy the two zone lacing. The only thing I don’t like is the aluminum toe cap as they’re very cold on the toes below 20f/7c. Would definitely prefer a composite. Otherwise, they’re excellent. I’ve already had them over a year and they still look brand new.
